Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4 Key Visual Revealed at Juju Fes
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4 finally has a face, and it belongs to Sukuna. MAPPA dropped a new teaser visual for The Culling Game Part 2 at Juju Fes 2026 in Tokyo, and it is the only real reveal the festival gave up across two days. So here is what we got, and just as importantly, what we did not.

The visual shows Sukuna under dark water, his markings lit, one red hand raised in front of him. It is a quieter image than the fandom expected, and it works precisely because of that.
The line printed alongside it does the heavy lifting. “Do you remember? I told you that you’d get to see something interesting.”
Anyone who has read the manga will feel that immediately. Everyone else gets to enjoy the wait, so we are leaving it there.
Who is making Season 4
MAPPA returns to animate. Takeru Sato directs, stepping up after working as assistant director on Season 3. Shota Goshozono moves into the chief director seat.
Sato has been open about the pressure. He said he feels the weight of being trusted with a title this size every day, which is a refreshingly honest thing to admit about a show this scrutinised.
What Juju Fes 2026 actually was
The festival ran across two days in Tokyo and was billed as a celebration of the anime’s fifth anniversary. The anime began airing in October 2020, so the cast and crew have now carried this thing for half a decade.
The voice cast recreated scenes live on stage, and a full orchestra played through the series music. The venue sold out. There was also a rules board at the entrance that fans immediately noticed, because the no eating icon looks a lot like a certain cursed finger.
What we did not get
This is worth being straight about. No release date was announced. No trailer either, and no episode count. Two days of festival, and the Season 4 news amounted to one teaser visual and the staff line up.
That is not nothing, because a visual plus a confirmed director tells you production is genuinely moving. However, if you sat through the whole thing waiting for a date, you did not get one.
Where to watch before Season 4
Season 3 wrapped in March 2026. You can catch up on the earlier seasons on Crunchyroll or Netflix, and honestly a rewatch before Part 2 is not the worst idea given how much the Culling Game juggles at once.

My take: A single visual after a two day festival is a thin haul, and I understand the grumbling. Still, I think MAPPA made the right call with this image. Sukuna underwater, half lit, saying almost nothing is far more ominous than another montage of everyone shouting. The show has a habit of over explaining itself in trailers, and this does the opposite. What I would genuinely like now is a date. Season 3 finished in March, the goodwill is there, and letting it drift too long is how you lose a fanbase that already waits a lot.
