Subaru’s suffering resumes shortly. Re:Zero Season 4 Part 2 returns in mid August on Crunchyroll, picking up one of the most beloved dark fantasy stories in anime right where its midseason break left everyone hanging.
Where things stand
Season 4 has pushed Subaru and Emilia’s camp deeper into the political and supernatural machinery of the kingdom, with the Witch Cult’s remaining Archbishops still looming over everything. The first half of the season balanced quieter character work with the series signature gut punches, and the break arrived at exactly the wrong moment for everyone’s nerves, which is to say exactly the right one.
Re:Zero remains the rare franchise whose long gaps never cost it an audience. Each return lands like an event, and this one doubles as a warmup for the franchise’s growing presence beyond the anime.

My take: No franchise makes waiting feel like part of the story quite like Re:Zero. The dread builds between episodes for free. I would not have it any other way.
