You Don’t Know Gunma Yet is Getting a New Light Anime
IMAGICA Infos is producing a new “light anime” adaptation of Hiroto Ida’s Omae wa Mada Gunma o Shiranai (You Don’t Know Gunma Yet) manga, dubbed Omae wa Mada Gunma o Shiranai ~Reiwa-ban~ (You Don’t Know Gunma Yet ~Reiwa Version~). The new You Don’t Know Gunma Yet ~Reiwa Version~ anime premieres in January 2026 on SKY PerfecTV!’s Tetsudō Channel.
As a light anime, You Don’t Know Gunma Yet ~Reiwa Version~ features a more simple animation style, which reduces production time and costs.
Ida launched the manga series on Shinchosha’s Kurage Bunch website in October 2013, and the series ended in May 2019. 11 compiled book volumes were released by Shinchosha. A 12-episode anime short series premiered in April 2018, and Crunchyroll streamed the series with English subs as it aired in Japan.
Lastly, here’s an overview of the anime series, via Crunchyroll:
