8 Fall Anime Streaming On Crunchyroll We’re Most Anticipating
2025 has been a great year for anime fans, and it’s only going to get better as its final quarter approaches. Titles like Dandadan, Solo Leveling, The Apothecary Diaries, and My Dress-Up Darling have led the charge in their respective genres, while films from Demon Slayer and now Chainsaw Man are stirring up massive levels of hype.
As the final broadcast season of the year, the fall is gearing up to end 2025 on a high note. Top shows from the battle shōnen genre, as well as other high-profile action series will be headlining, while one of 2022’s biggest titles is set to return to screens for its highly anticipated third season.
Anime fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming weeks, and these eight exciting releases will be available to stream on Crunchyroll.
One-Punch Man Season 3
Animated by J.C.Staff, Based on the Manga by ONE
When One-Punch Man debuted in 2015, it took the global anime community by storm. While the original web manga by ONE had garnered its own sizable fan base, the artist’s other masterpiece work, Mob Psycho 100, began making waves of its own, and tons of fans began to board the hype train in the lead up to One-Punch Man‘s anime debut.
The series did not disappoint in its first season, surpassing expectations and establishing Saitama as anime’s newest iconic hero. Unfortunately, the same could not be said of season 2, which many fans felt to be a major step down after One-Punch Man changed hands behind the scenes.
With season 3 set to arrive in October, the series has a chance to win over its massive fan base once more. However, some red flags regarding the series’ production have begun to worry viewers.
A Mangaka’s Weirdly Wonderful Workplace
Animated by Voil, Based on the Manga by Kuzushiro
When fans think of the biggest anime releases in any given season, their minds are likely to wander towards the battle shōnen smash-hits. The genre has always ruled above all, and will always receive the bulk of attention from the community. However, just as important to the landscape of anime are the cozier shows, and the fall has one fans won’t want to miss.
A Mangaka’s Weirdly Wonderful Workplace follows newbie shoujo manga artist Nana Futami, who gets by with the support of her editor and assistant. However, she often becomes delusional when work piles up, teleporting her mind to a fantasy setting.
Slice-of-life comedy shows have always drawn quite a bit of support, and one that follows adult characters is a welcome shift away from the usual classroom setting. Fans interested in the mangaka lifestyle will want to tune in on October 6th, even if it’s a bit exaggerated in A Mangaka’s Weirdly Wonderful Workplace.
To Your Eternity Season 3
Animated by Drive and Studio Maasket, Based on the Manga by Yoshitoki Oima
From the creator of the highly acclaimed, award-winning A Silent Voice, To Your Eternity is a series that has experienced some highs and lows since its debut. Thanks to the reputation of Oima’s prior work, To Your Eternity arrived with a large following, and delivered in its earliest moments.
The series’ second season was able to retain some of the hype it built in its first go-round, and dedicated fans responded with an outpouring of support. However, fans of the original manga are split on the upcoming Modern Arc, believing it to be a bit of a departure from what the series was doing before.
Nevertheless, To Your Eternity is one of the bigger sleeper hits in recent anime history, and it’s incredibly likely fans will be lined up for season 3’s premiere on October 4th.
Touring After the Apocalypse
Animated by Nexus, Based on the Manga by Sakae Saito
For fans of a series like Girls’ Last Tour, there may be no better suited upcoming show than Touring After the Apocalypse. The basis of the series is largely the same—two girls are absolutely unwilling to let the destruction of Japan affect them in any negative way, and instead take off on an adventure through the wasteland.
The latest post-apocalyptic series incorporates elements of the cyberpunk and sci-fi genres, and will likely be a treat to behold visually. Unlike Girls’ Last Tour, which is a much darker take on a ruined world, Touring After the Apocalypse keeps itself mostly lighthearted and fun. The series will begin airing on October 4th.
Let’s Play
Animated by OLM, Based on the Webcomic by Mongie
No anime season is complete without a healthy dose of romance, and one of the most anticipated titles in some time is set to arrive this fall. Based on the massively popular Webcomic by American artist Mongie, Let’s Play follows 22-year-old Sam Young, a software developer whose passion project game becomes heavily criticized by one anonymous reviewer.
When that anonymous reviewer moves in next door, however, romantic hijinks begin. The series often tackles issues in the male-dominated gaming industry in a comedic, satirical manner, while keeping fans entertained with its romance elements.
Studio OLM has produced a few of the biggest romance anime series in recent years, with shows like The Apothecary Diaries, Komi Can’t Communicate, and Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro, and seems ready to deliver once again with Let’s Play, starting on October 1st.
My Hero Academia Final Season
Animated by Bones Film, Based on the Manga by Kohei Horikoshi
Over the past decade or so, few titles have been more popular and influential in the anime and manga scene than My Hero Academia. As one of the premiere Shōnen Jump adaptations, the series is one that moves the needle each time it returns to screens, and following the manga’s conclusion last August, the time has come for the anime to wrap itself up.
The final season will cover the events of the manga’s 40th to 42nd volumes in what is expected to be a standard 12 or 13-episode season. My Hero Academia is one of the most successful anime and manga franchises of the modern era, and fans can expect the events of its eighth season to dominate discussion in the anime community when it arrives October 4th.
Shabake
Animated by Bandai Namco Pictures, Based on the Novel Series by Megumi Hatakenaka
With the recent overwhelming success of The Apothecary Diaries, another period piece with a premise involving solving mysteries is arriving this fall in Shabake. The anime is based on the novel series by Megumi Hatakenaka, which has been adapted into a manga and a live-action television drama in the years since its initial debut.
Historical fantasy isn’t the most common genre in anime, and Shabake‘s Edo period setting will be a breath of fresh air for many who might be a little tired of the typical fantasy anime worlds. Shabake will begin airing on October 4th.
Spy x Family Season 3
Animated by Wit Studio and CloverWorks, Based on the Manga by Tatsuya Endo
Since its premiere in 2022, Spy x Family has become one of anime’s most popular titles, and its momentum hasn’t slowed a bit. The found-family dynamic shared by the Forgers, mixed with the chaos of each character’s own secret life has proven a golden recipe for non-stop entertainment.
Both Spy x Family‘s second season and its 2023 theatrical film were incredibly successful, and there’s little reason for fans to expect any drop-off in quality in its upcoming return.
The endearing, often suspenseful, chaotic, and wholesome exploits of the Forger family will return to screens on October 4th, and fans won’t want to miss what will likely end up being the fall’s biggest show.
