Daily Life of a Single 29 Year Old Adventurer Anime Update
The official website for the television anime of Ippei Nara’s manga 29 sai Dokushin Chuuken Boukensha no Nichijou, or The Daily Life of a Single 29 Year Old Adventurer, shared two more cast members, additional staff, its theme songs, and a first promotional video on Monday. The series is heading to screens in January 2026.
Yuuna Ogata is joining the cast as Carmen Olive and Kaori Maeda comes aboard as Natalie. Toshinori Fukushima is directing and handling series composition at the studio HORNETS, with Yoshihiro Nagamori in charge of character designs.
On the music side, HoneyWorks teams up with the duo Hanon to perform the opening theme “Kimi ga Tomoshite Kureta Hikari wo Ima,” while Kotoha sings the ending theme “Kimi no Tonari wa Kuuki ga Oishii.” The new promotional video offers an early listen to that opening song.
The story comes from Nara’s adventure fantasy manga, which began running in Bessatsu Shounen Magazine in January 2016. Kodansha released its 20th volume on September 9, so there is plenty of source material for the anime to draw from.
My take: I really like that the spotlight here is on a seasoned adventurer in his late twenties rather than another teenage hero, since that quieter and more grown up angle feels refreshing in the fantasy genre.
