Chojo Anime Reveals Staff and Teaser Visual for 2026
An official website has opened for the television anime of Shun Numa’s comedy manga Super Psychic Policeman Chojo, known in Japanese as Choujun! Choujou-senpai, revealing the main staff and a teaser visual on Monday. The anime is set to premiere in 2026.
The project is being made at Arvo Animation, with Junichi Yamamoto directing, Hayashi Mori handling series composition and scripts, and Masakatsu Sasaki designing the characters.
Numa first drew the comedy as a one shot in Weekly Shonen Jump in April 2023 before it became a full serialization, running from February 2024 until June of this year. Shueisha released the eighth and final volume in September.
English readers are covered as well. Viz Media licensed the manga earlier this year and will ship the first volume on February 3, while it has also been available through Shueisha’s official simulpub service.
The story is set in the fictional city of Chinjuku and follows its offbeat psychic police premise, which has now earned the series a place on the 2026 anime calendar.
My take: With the teaser visual and full staff now out, this adaptation is feeling real, and the team at Arvo seems well suited to its comedy. A February English volume is nice timing for newcomers ahead of the anime.
