Campfire Cooking Season 2 Gets a Same Day English Dub

Crunchyroll announced on Monday that the second season of Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill will get a same day English dub. The dub began streaming on Tuesday, the very day the new season debuted.

Pleasingly for fans, the English cast features returning members, with Jerry Jewell directing the dub and Macy Anne Johnson adapting the script. The season itself premiered in Japan on TV Tokyo and its affiliates on October 7.

Most of the staff is back at studio MAPPA, with a few new additions joining the character design and animation teams. For the music, Cent Chihiro Chittiii performs the cheerful new opening theme, while the duo chelmico handles the ending song.

The series is based on Ren Eguchi’s light novels, which began online in 2016 and are published in print by Overlap, along with a manga adaptation and a spinoff.

The first season streamed back in early 2023, building a cozy following for its blend of gentle isekai adventure and genuinely mouthwatering food.

My take: This is one of the comfiest isekai around, and its loving attention to cooking always leaves me hungry. A same day dub is the perfect way to settle back in with Mukohda and Fel.
