Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family! Anime Adds More Cast
The official website for the anime Alma-chan wa Kazoku ni Naritai, known in English as Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family!, revealed additional cast members. The series premieres on October 5 on AT-X, followed by Tokyo MX and several other channels, with Japanese streaming the same night.
For viewers abroad, Crunchyroll will carry the series worldwide, outside of Japan and mainland China.
The newly announced voices include Sayaka Senbongi of Bocchi the Rock! as Tokoyo Omoikane, Hikaru Tono as Toki Kamisato, and Saku Mizuno as Hana Yashiki.
Behind the scenes, Yasuhiro Minami directs at Studio Flad, with Yukie Sugawara on series composition, Mika Yamamoto designing the characters, and music from Mito of the band Clammbon.
The story is based on Nanateru’s manga, which ran on the Comic Newtype platform from 2021 to 2024 across three volumes, and has since continued in a sequel series.
My take: A warm sounding title like Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family! promises exactly the kind of gentle, heartfelt comedy I enjoy. A music credit from Clammbon’s Mito is a lovely sign that the tone will be soft and sincere.
