Hero Killer Webtoon Heading to Animation With France’s ADN
The popular webtoon Hero Killer is getting an animated adaptation. Korean IP production company Jaedam Media has signed a deal with France based Animation Digital Network, known as ADN, which works as both an animation studio and a streaming platform.
The agreement was finalized at the 2025 SPP International Content Market. ADN is a major European producer and distributor, well connected with leading studios across France and beyond.
Written by Kkulbeol and illustrated by Beolkkul, Hero Killer follows Lee Hwa, a woman who sets out for revenge against the so called heroes after one of them kills her sister. The action fantasy has built a strong following since its run on Naver Webtoon and is now available in eight countries. English readers can find it on WEBTOON.
Jaedam is also preparing live action adaptations of several other titles in its catalog.
My take: A Korean webtoon being animated through a European partner is a lovely sign of how global this medium has become. Hero Killer’s revenge driven premise has real dramatic weight, and I am curious to see how ADN brings its action to life.
