Voice Actors Maaya Uchida and Kaito Ishikawa Get Married

Voice actors Maaya Uchida and Kaito Ishikawa have announced that they are married. The two shared the news together through statements posted to their respective X accounts on the same day.

“Although this comes as a sudden announcement, we, Maaya Uchida and Kaito Ishikawa, have gotten married,” they wrote. They expressed deep gratitude to fans who have supported them and to everyone who has helped them continue working in the industry. Reflecting on how the relationship developed, they shared: “As two people who both work in entertainment, we have grown to deeply respect one another’s work and share an understanding of its challenges. As we spent more time together, we came to strongly wish to walk through life side by side, leading us to take this new step together.” They also said they intend to grow as individuals and as performers, and hope their shared experiences will enrich their future work.

Uchida is known for voicing Rikka Takanashi in Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions!, Rui Tachibana in Domestic Girlfriend, Hiyori Iki in Noragami, Ranko Kanzaki in The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls, and Futaba Yoshioka in Blue Spring Ride, among many other roles.

Ishikawa is recognized for playing Sakuta Azusagawa in Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, Tobio Kageyama in Haikyu!!, Naofumi Iwatani in The Rising of the Shield Hero, Genos in One Punch Man, and Noé Archiviste in The Case Study of Vanitas.

My take: Two wonderfully talented people who have each left their mark on so many beloved shows. It is genuinely heartwarming to hear they found something special in each other, and I wish them both a great deal of happiness.
