Dengeki Daisy Anime Sets January 2027 Premiere
Dengeki Daisy finally has a date. The anime adaptation of Kyousuke Motomi’s beloved shojo manga revealed its first main trailer, key visual and four additional cast members, and confirmed a January 2027 premiere. The series will stream on Crunchyroll and adapt the manga all the way through its conclusion.
A shojo classic gets its due
Dengeki Daisy ran in Betsucomi from 2007 and built a devoted readership around Teru Kurebayashi, a girl who leans on an anonymous texting friend called Daisy after her brother’s death, and Tasuku Kurosaki, the delinquent school custodian who is more connected to Daisy than he lets on. It is a romance with a hacker thriller running underneath it, which is part of why fans have asked for an anime for over a decade.
The decision to adapt the entire story rather than a single season is the important detail here. Shojo adaptations are too often left unfinished, and this one is promising the ending on day one.
Cast and crew
Yoshino Aoyama voices Teru and Taku Yashiro plays Kurosaki, with Sota Ueno directing at Studio DEEN. The trailer and cast were reported by Anime Corner.
My take: Committing to the whole manga is the right call and a rare one. Dengeki Daisy’s ending is the payoff, and January cannot come soon enough for the readers who waited.
