With the Infinity Castle film trilogy underway, there has never been a better time to map Tanjiro’s complete journey. Here is every Demon Slayer arc in order.
The television arcs
Final Selection opens the story with Tanjiro’s training and the fateful attack on his family. Kidnapper’s Bog, Asakusa and Tsuzumi Mansion build his early demon hunts, followed by the fan favorite Mount Natagumo arc against the spider family. Mugen Train continues the story in film and television form, leading into the Entertainment District arc with Uzui, the Swordsmith Village arc with Mitsuri and Muichiro, and the Hashira Training arc preparing everyone for the end.
The finale
The Infinity Castle arc, now adapting as a film trilogy, carries the final war against Muzan and the Upper Ranks. The first film broke records worldwide, with the second confirmed for 2027 to continue the conclusion.
Every arc feeds the next, so the viewing order is mercifully simple: broadcast order, no skips needed.
My take: Entertainment District is still the high water mark for me. The Gyutaro fight is modern shonen animation at its absolute peak, and I will hear no arguments during business hours.
