When we talk about Anime Powerscaling, we always think about the powerful giants of shonen. Names like Son Goku, Naruto, Ichigo, Luffy, Saitama, etc., pop into our heads. But we all know the world of anime is a whole other universe; there are many hidden gems of characters who are broken! Their power levels are worth talking about, but they are always forgotten by the fandom or not talked about enough.
Some can end fights at their will, some are immortal beings who just keep getting up after a wild knockdown. 10: Sunraku (Shangri La)
Sunraku has the most terrifyingly effective power. His precision, strategic mind, and dominant nature make him an important addition to this list. Sunraku is known for his ability to adapt to any given battle; he finds the enemy’s weakness and then takes them down with flair. In a world of raw fighters, Sunraku uses his brain to push the right buttons.
He is mostly known for his speed and precision in a chaotic battlefield, but he can also turn the tide of a battle in the blink of an eye. We feel Sunraku deserves way more love from the Otakus than he gets; the guy is literally the best gaming character you could create!
9: Hiei (Yu Yu Hakusho)
Hiei is one of those shonen characters that don’t receive the love they deserve, but when you know about his powers they sound broken. His sword has the Dragon of the Darkness Flame; this demonic attack is capable of taking down an entire army. Hiei is literally Vegeta if he wasn’t a crybaby, but both have the same nonchalant gimmick going on.
Hiei has a third eye under his headwrap; it’s called the Jagan, and it grants him the ability to mind control, psychic abilities, and powerful perception, which allows him to have the edge in a battle. Hiei can also regenerate, which is probably the coolest ability in anime, combined with his tactical genius. Hiei is a genius sidekick who cannot be forgotten by the anime world. He is one of the most devastatingly OP anime characters of all time.
8: Mereoleona (Black Clover)
Mereoleona is that OP character from Black Clover who could burn down an army to a crisp. She is the flag bearer of women empowerment in this series. Mereoleona is insanely powerful, fierce, raw, and badass. She is someone who would never give up and would rather die than lift the white flag. You can feel the heat through your screens when you see her launching her flames like a maniac.
She comes from a noble family, but her mastery of Fire Magic is her own hard work and sheer determination to become the strongest. She keeps pushing herself past her limits, and what do we even say about that sharp analytical mind? Mereoleona is unabashedly loud, scary, but she is someone who deserves more love and recognition from the Black Clover community.
7: Yuki Tsukumo (Jujutsu Kaisen)
The baddie from Jujutsu Kaisen makes it to our list because there’s more to her than just her curvy peaches. When we talk about OP JJK characters, names like Yuta, Gojo, Sukuna, Yuji are mentioned. This girl, who can scare the hell out of Kenjaku, deserves the love too! you can watch the fight in Crunchyroll.
Yuki is a special grade sorcerer who barely shows up in the series; it’s like Gege Akutami created her as a secret weapon. Yuki’s power Star Rage adds imaginary mass to her body, or it can also be her Shikigami Garuda. With the power of Star Rage, she can take down special grade curses with a punch; she even surprised Kenjaku in close combat. Someone who is skilled for years in Taijutsu, this alone proves how OP Yuki Tsukumo is.
6: Scar (FMAB)
Scar deserves the respect from the Otakus. He is someone who took on the State Alchemists and beat the hell out of them without getting caught. Scar’s insane power can make him deconstruct matter with a single touch; he is literally a walking weapon of mass killing.
Scar takes down the alchemists while they draw their transmutation circles. Scar is a calculated cold-blooded killer and has no issues taking armies down by himself. Scar’s pain and vengeance add more power to his journey; he is terrifying to watch in combat, let alone face.
5: Saiki Kusuo (Disastrous Life of Saiki K.)
This is probably an insane addition, and we know Saiki would have hated being on this list. This guy just wants to bend his spoon and help his crazy friends. People tend to ignore Saiki’s powerful abilities because this anime is a mad comedy. This MC has Teleportation, Superhuman Strength, Time Travel, Clairvoyance, etc. This guy can do anything, yes he can go back in time and stop your birth too!
He could take on Goku if he wanted, but this guy wants to have his coffee pudding and chill. Some of the overpowered anime characters should be happy that Saiki is stuck in the gag shonen genre which you can watch on Netflix.
4: Giorno Giovanna (JoJo)
JoJo fans are insane, just like the characters’ fashion sense. When they talk about JoJo, they always mention Dio, Jotaro, or Joseph. For some reason, Giorno doesn’t receive the same love, but that changes when his Stand evolves.
Gio’s stand Gold Experience can put life into inanimate objects, turning them into animals or plants. But things go God-level when it evolves into Gold Experience Requiem. This power is so broken that if you kick or punch Giorno, it’s undone. He is the one who can rewrite reality; if you try to kill him, you will be the one stuck in a loop of life and birth. Giorno Giovanna turns into someone who cannot lose, and we believe this insane ability should be enough for him to be loved.
3: Ban (Seven Deadly Sins)
Ah, the Handsome Devil in a leather jacket… we apologize, let’s get back to the topic. The Fox Sin of Greed deserves way more recognition than he gets; he is an actual powerhouse monster when you look at his abilities.
Ban’s power Snatch is used to steal someone’s abilities, speed, or even their armed objects. Imagine you are battling someone and they just snatch your power. There’s a twist to this insane power: Ban is an immortal being who drank from the Fountain of Youth. He can regenerate like Piccolo; this guy is literally unkillable. But later he loses his immortality, which he hated anyway. That doesn’t make him lose his powers. We think the Handsome Fox of Greed deserves more recognition.
2: Zeno Zoldyck (HXH)
If you’re a Hunter x Hunter fan, then you must be loving one of the strongest characters. How about a superfan of Zeno Zoldyck? No, because he looks like an old scrawny man who lives off food stamps! Zeno is Killua’s grandpa and one of the most deadly assassins in anime history. He is calm, precise, and gets the job done.
He isn’t a showoff, but we loved when he rained Nen meteors when he entered on a golden dragon with Netero. The grandpa was on serious business and was keen on stamping on the ants. Zeno stated that he wasn’t at his best; now imagine him in his prime. We just feel Zeno receives more recognition like Master Roshi has. He isn’t even a pervert like the latter.
1: Ichibei (Bleach)
Why do Otakus always talk about Yhwach, Ichigo, Aizen, Yamamoto, etc when they mention OP Characters in Bleach. The leader of the Royal Guards, Ichibei Hyosube was introduced in the Thousand Years of Blood War Arc.
He is known as the monk who named all the things that exist. In the Bleach world, a name holds the power; what if that same name was erased? It’s the power of Ichibei’s Zanpakuto, Ichimonji. It’s broken, a power that can erase a person’s name and abilities, and paints you all over with his brush ink. If Ichimonji rewrites your name as a worm, you will turn as powerful as a worm can ever be!
Even after Ywach Bach shredded him into pieces, this madman asked Ichigo with a voice only he could hear. When his name was called he came back to his normal shape and body. This bald swordsman with a Big Brush for a sword deserves to be known more like Aizen or Ichigo on Tiktok Edits!
